This contract position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support speech-language pathologists in a school setting located in Pacoima, CA. The role is scheduled to start on August 12, 2026, and conclude on June 4, 2027, with an average of 30 working hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with their caseloads, which typically include around 45 students.
- Provide direct support to students under the guidance of licensed SLPs.
- Maintain flexibility to accommodate possible changes in school site assignments as determined by the district.
- Support two potential assignments:
- Position 1: Valencia High School (Monday-Wednesday) and ATP Program at Castaic High School (Thursday-Friday).
- Position 2: To be determined.
Qualifications:
- Experience or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work locations and schedules.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
