Speech Therapy Assistant in Princess Anne, MD
Provide specialized speech-language pathology support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a K-12 educational setting located in Princess Anne, MD. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work across two school sites, delivering therapeutic services to a caseload of up to 40 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech and language interventions following established plans.
- Collaborate with certified speech-language pathologists who will provide supervision throughout the assignment.
- Document student progress and participate in team meetings as required.
- Travel between assigned school sites, with paid travel time included.
- Engage in indirect hours for administrative tasks related to caseload management.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland SLPA License.
- Experience working as an SLPA in school or healthcare environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively within caseload caps.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to participate in training to align with district-specific IEP systems and protocols.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in Princess Anne, MD.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Contract duration from ASAP through the end of the current school year.
Additional Details:
- The district provides supervision for this role.
- Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and decisions made within 24 to 48 hours.
- Paid administrative time and team meetings are offered.
- The role supports the District’s educational goals by ensuring effective speech therapy assistance.
