Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, school-based contract position in New Britain, Connecticut, for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for an SLPA who is passionate about supporting students’ communication growth and eager to collaborate within a strong multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
The SLPA will provide direct treatment, assist with therapy plans designed by the supervising SLP, and support students across various communication needs within a school setting. You will work with a diverse K–12 caseload and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment focused on improving functional communication and academic participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP
- Support implementation of IEP goals and communication programs
- Collect data, document progress, and maintain accurate session notes
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success
- Prepare materials and assist with therapy planning
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
Qualifications
- Active Connecticut SLPA license (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $28–$36+ per hour, based on experience
