A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available at multiple elementary and middle school locations in Fort Myers, FL. This contract role begins January 5, 2026, and concludes June 1, 2026, with a caseload ranging from 50 to 55 students. The work week consists of approximately 37.5 hours spent on-site across assigned schools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech therapy support to preK-8 and high school students under the direction of licensed speech-language pathologists
- Deliver individualized therapy and interventions tailored to student needs
- Monitor and document student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and education staff to support student communication goals
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and licensure standards
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license
- Experience working with elementary and middle school aged children preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing quality speech therapy services in an educational setting
Locations include Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8, Harns Marsh Elementary, Mirror Lakes Elementary, Oak Hammock Middle, and Estero High School. Weekly schedules will vary slightly based on school assignments.
