A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide essential support within an elementary and middle school setting in Fort Myers, FL. This contract position begins ASAP and continues through June 1, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves working on site exclusively, supporting students from PreK through high school with speech and language needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, delivering direct services and assisting with progress tracking
- Collaborate with educators and other support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist in reporting outcomes related to speech and language services
- Work at multiple school locations throughout the week, including both elementary and middle/high schools
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- Experience working as an SLPA in school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain detailed records
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with staff and families
