Speech Pathologist Assistant in Harvey, IL

A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Harvey, IL, serving students in Grades PreK through 4th grade across two elementary schools. This role is part-time preferred, with flexibility for full-time hours based on candidate preference, for the current school year on a contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Support students’ communication skill development through individualized and group activities.
- Maintain records and document progress according to program guidelines.
- Collaborate with educational staff to integrate speech-language goals within the classroom setting.
- Manage a varying caseload effectively, adapting to the needs of each student.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of speech and language development in children PreK through 4th grade.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work between two locations.
Location & Hours:
- Located in Harvey, IL.
- Work schedule: 8:15 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
- Part-time position preferred (2-3 days per week), with options to negotiate full-time hours.
