A certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is sought for a K-12 school setting in Concord, CA. This contract position will begin as soon as possible and extend through the end of the school year, with an initial commitment of one day per week, expanding to three or four days per week during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare materials and support therapy sessions as needed
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to enhance student outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and student needs
