A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Murrieta, CA. This role supports licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with communication disorders in a school setting under a contract arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing speech and language intervention to students as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Prepare materials and assist with therapy sessions to support students’ communication development.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in meetings and contribute observations to therapy program planning.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited SLPA program.
- Valid SLPA certification/license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and educational staff.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy processes and protocols.
Location: Murrieta, CA (school-based setting).
