Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Moss Landing, California
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite Only
Assignment: Elementary School – SDC (Special Day Class) Students
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (6.5 hours per day)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our elementary team in Moss Landing, CA. This full-time, onsite position supports Special Day Class (SDC) students with speech and language needs. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver services as part of each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students with moderate to severe needs develop functional communication skills in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students under the supervision of an SLP

Implement therapy activities and intervention plans as developed by the supervising SLP

Collect data on student progress toward IEP goals

Support students in developing communication skills needed for academic and social success

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress

Maintain accurate session notes and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

Assist with preparation of therapy materials and scheduling of sessions
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited SLPA program

Current and valid California SLPA license
-
Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and take direction from a supervising SLP

Commitment to serving students with diverse needs in a school-based environment
Position Details:

Full-Time: 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes a duty-free lunch)

Work Setting: Onsite only (no remote work)

School Site: Elementary, working primarily with SDC students

Duration: Remainder of the 2025–2026 school year
