About the Role
As a vital member of the district’s special education team, the SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver therapy services, implement communication strategies, and support students in achieving their IEP goals. Responsibilities

Provide speech and language therapy in individual or small group settings under SLP guidance.

Support assessment and progress documentation.

Implement individualized plans and classroom-based interventions.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff.

Maintain professionalism, organization, and compassion in daily interactions.
Qualifications

Active or eligible Alabama SLPA license.

Associate degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related discipline.

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay range: $28–$40 per hour (based on experience and credentials).
