Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year in Mobile County. This school-based position involves working with students in kindergarten through 12th grade, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to supporting students' communication and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP
- Assist with implementation of individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Support data collection and progress monitoring
- Prepare materials and assist in documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Follow all district, state, and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid AL SLPA license - must be registered with Board of Speech Examiners
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Full-time contract (35 hours/week)
- 2025–2026 school year
