SLPA Requirements to Work in Wisconsin Schools
To be eligible for a school-based SLPA position in Milwaukee, WI, you must:

Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license issued by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS)

Have completed an accredited SLPA program or equivalent coursework

Be supervised by a licensed SLP, as required by Wisconsin law

Pass a criminal background check and TB test in accordance with local school district policies

Be legally authorized to work in the United States
