Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech therapy plans developed by the licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address articulation, language, and communication needs
- Assist in maintaining detailed records of student progress and treatment outcomes
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff to support individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school settings, especially K-12, is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student populations
- Knowledge of related educational laws and best practices in speech-language therapy within schools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally within a multidisciplinary team
