Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based opportunity in the Marion, Alabama area. This position offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time scheduling options while providing speech and language services to students across a wide range of grade levels.
Position Details
- Position: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Employment Type: Contract
- Schedule: Up to 40 Hours a week
- Start Date: Immediate Opening
- Assignment Through: June 2027
- Student Population: Head Start through 12th Grade
- Caseload: Up to 40 Students
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Provide direct therapy services based on student needs
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Support students with a variety of communication needs, including nonverbal students and those with autism spectrum disorders
Qualification
- Complete documentation, progress reports, and required records
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies
- Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist License
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience working with diverse communication disorders
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and documentation requirements
