Speech Therapy Assistant in Manteca, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in a school setting. This role will primarily serve two school sites, providing essential support to ensure consistent delivery of speech and language services to students. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced SLPs during a period of transition, as the current SLPA will be on maternity leave, with an overlap period planned to facilitate a smooth handover.
Location: Manteca, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with SLPs to implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Assist with speech and language assessments and progress monitoring
- Support classroom teachers and staff in embedding speech and language strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student-focused planning
- Manage caseload efficiently across two school sites as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites within the district
