Qualifications:

Must meet all local and state requirements to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Virginia.

Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.

Ability to follow therapy plans and direction from a licensed SLP.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Typical Job Duties:
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Assist in implementing goals and strategies from students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Collect and maintain accurate data on student progress and performance.
-
Prepare materials and support documentation for therapy sessions.
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to support student communication development.
-
Support the generalization of speech and language skills across school environments.
