School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Chico, California
This opportunity calls for a California Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support across multiple elementary schools. Location: Oroville, CA
Work Setting: Elementary Schools (Spring Valley, Bangor, Berry Creek)
Position Type: Contract, full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026
Caseload: Approximately 35 general education inclusion students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Manage an itinerant caseload across multiple elementary schools, with some travel required between sites
- Utilize knowledge of Special Education Information System (SEIS) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure adherence to documentation and compliance standards
- Collaborate with educators and staff to implement speech-language goals within general education settings
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license is required
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with SEIS and the IEP process strongly desired
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload and travel between school sites
