Pediatric School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Gardner, Massachusetts
This opportunity offers a full-time Speech-Language Pathology professional role in an elementary school setting located in Gardner, MA. The position is for the current school year (CSY) and is a contract assignment. The role involves delivering services to a caseload of approximately 40 elementary students, working 7.25 hours per day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language assessments and interventions tailored to elementary school children
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student communication development
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
- Delivering services either in-person or through teletherapy, adapting to student needs and district requirements
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining thorough documentation of student progress and services provided
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credentials preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with pediatric populations
- Experience or familiarity with teletherapy practices is a plus
- Candidates holding a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification with experience in schools or healthcare environments are also encouraged to apply
