Full-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Kyle, Texas for 2025-2026 School Year
Location: Kyle, Texas
Employment Type: Full-time
Start Date: Next School Year (NSY - typically August 2025)
Caseload: Middle School and High School Students
Supervision: Full supervision is provided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities as designed by the supervising SLP.
- Work with students individually and in small groups, focusing on IEP goals.
- Collect and record data on student performance and progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment.
- Assist the supervising SLP with administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the supervising SLP, teachers, and other school staff.
- Communicate student progress and concerns to the supervising SLP regularly.
- Maintain accurate and organized student records.
- Adhere to all state and district guidelines for SLPAs, including confidentiality and ethical conduct.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is required.
- Experience working with middle and high school-aged students preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of a supervising SLP.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to work with students.
- Knowledge of standard therapy techniques and basic data collection methods.
