School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | Clovis, California
This opportunity is for a full-time, school-year contract position as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving preschool students in Madera, CA. The role is itinerant, providing support across 5-6 preschool sites during mornings, with afternoon responsibilities including home visits, evaluation facilitation, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and speech-language services to preschool children across multiple sites.
- Conduct home visits for 7 homebound preschool students, coordinating schedules with flexible parents.
- Assist with evaluations and actively participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist from VocoVision.
- Maintain documentation and communicate effectively with families and educational staff.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in school settings is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable to better serve the community.
- Ability to manage itinerant caseloads and conduct home visits confidently.
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills to accommodate varied schedules.
- Valid SLPA credentials and licenses required.
Location & Travel:
- Position based in Madera, CA, with work primarily at preschool sites and homes in the surrounding area.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel associated with commuting and home visits.
