About the Position
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team near Kendleton, TX! This school-based role offers an incredible opportunity to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade as they develop the essential speech and language skills needed to succeed in school and life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing therapy services to students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Support students in improving speech, language, and social communication skills.
- Track and document student progress, reporting to the SLP as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure effective student support.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current Texas state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for helping children achieve their communication goals.
- Proficiency with technology for documentation and virtual therapy when required.
