An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students across multiple campuses in the Houston, TX area. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 80-90 elementary students across multiple schools
- Collaborate with school-based teams including speech-language pathologists, teachers, and administrators to support individualized student needs
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with established protocols and timelines
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required by the district
- Adhere to state fingerprinting and background check requirements for credentialing
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid professional license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple campuses efficiently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with attention to detail in documentation
- Willingness to complete required prescreen interviews within designated timeframes
Location:
- Primarily supporting schools in and around Houston, TX, including Richmond/Rosenberg and potentially Fulshear/Katy areas (exact schools/locations are pending district confirmation)
Schedule and Duration:
- Full-time commitment preferred (35 hours per week); part-time consideration possible based on district needs
- Contract duration through May 21, 2026, with the possibility of extension pending district funding
