School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Houston, Texas
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available supporting students in grades 7 through 12 across two campuses in the Houston, TX area. This contract role spans the current school year with an anticipated start ASAP and runs through May 21, 2026, serving approximately 80 to 90 students.
Responsibilities include providing speech-language support and intervention services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA will work on-site at two campuses, assisting with speech and language development, implementing therapy plans, tracking student progress, and collaborating with teachers and families to support individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid professional license as an SLPA
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in grades 7-12
- Ability to manage a caseload of 80–90 students across multiple campuses
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to on-site, full-time work (35 hours per week)
Location: Two campuses in the Houston area, with primary assignments at George Ranch High School and Reading Junior High.
This contract position is contingent upon district funding approval, which is currently in process. Candidates must be available to begin as soon as possible and remain through the end of the school year.
