Speech Pathologist Assistant in Irving, TX
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to work onsite within a K-12 school setting in Irving, TX. This contract role runs through the current school year, ending May 29, 2026. The position requires providing support to the speech-language pathology team and assisting in the delivery of services to students across Jefferson County schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language pathologists in implementing treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and documentation in compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support students’ communication goals in the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
- Follow district and state regulations ensuring confidentiality and quality service delivery
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure appropriate for school settings
- Experience working as an SLPA within K-12 educational environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families
- Availability for onsite work during specified school hours (35 hours per week)
