Speech Pathologist Assistant in San Bernardino, CA
Opportunities are available for two full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) within a dynamic school setting in Riverside, CA. These positions offer a contract for the full school year with the potential for approximately six months of work. The role primarily supports elementary school caseloads, with occasional assignments involving secondary and Pre-K students to help manage the workloads of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs by delivering speech therapy services across a range of students, mainly at the elementary level.
- Rotate daily between different school sites on a two-week schedule, providing diverse and adaptable support.
- Support individual and group therapy sessions, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with SLPs and educational staff to promote effective communication interventions.
- Apply previous school experience to manage caseload effectively and adapt to various student needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working as an SLPA in school settings is highly desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred to better serve the student population.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work within a rotating schedule.
- Valid speech-language pathology assistant licensure and related documentation.
