A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide therapy services in an elementary school setting located in Houston, TX. This opportunity involves working onsite at two primary schools, servicing students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to students at Garcia-Leza and Kujawa Primary schools.
- Collaborate closely with onsite supervising SLP to follow treatment plans and ensure quality care.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLPA credential with no new graduates; candidates must have completed at least 25 supervision hours required for licensure.
- Prior experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to confidentiality and professional standards.
