Travel Speech Therapy Assistant in Houston, TX
A full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a Southwest Houston elementary school. This role involves providing school-based speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support student communication needs for the remainder of the school year through June 4, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services according to individualized education plans (IEPs) under SLP supervision
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinicians to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student services and outcomes
- Communicate proactively and reliably regarding caseload and scheduling
- Adhere to all district policies and professional standards in service provision
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure (fully licensed; no internship or clinical hours needed)
- Previous school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to commute to Southwest Houston location
- Ability to complete fingerprint/background check and drug screening promptly
- Dependable, punctual, and excellent communication skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations is a plus
Location and Work Environment:
- Position located onsite at an elementary school in Southwest Houston, TX
- Full-time schedule requiring in-person attendance; no remote or voice-over options available
