A full-time, contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students at an elementary school in Southeast Houston, near Hobby Airport.
This school-based role requires holding an active SLPA TDLR license as there is no capacity to provide supervision hours for licensure completion at this time. The assignment runs from April 20 through June 4, 2026, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SLPA licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings with children
- Familiarity with school-based therapy services and educational team collaboration
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the school location comfortably
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and background checks promptly
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the speech-language pathologist in providing direct therapy services to students under supervision consistent with the approved treatment plans
- Participate in team meetings, progress monitoring, and documentation of student progress
- Support classroom activities related to speech and language development as appropriate
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies
