A full-time or part-time contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary students in multiple schools within the Houston, TX area. This role involves providing therapy services primarily for children in grades K-5 across several campuses. The position requires flexibility as the number of schools and exact locations are subject to confirmation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to elementary school students
- Manage a caseload of approximately 80-90 students distributed among multiple campuses
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication development
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state guidelines
- Participate in credentialing procedures, including state fingerprinting and background checks
Qualifications:
- Professional SLPA license and relevant credentials
- State fingerprinting and background check clearance
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites
Location: Houston, Texas metropolitan area (specific schools in Richmond, Rosenberg, and possibly Fulshear/Katy; final locations pending district confirmation)
Contract Details:
- School year contract, expiring 6/30/2026
- Full-time (35 hours/week) preferred; part-time considered
- Start ASAP with assignment through May 21, 2026
