A Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in an elementary school setting in Houston, TX. This full-time, contract role involves providing speech therapy services across two elementary schools within the Houston area. Location:
- Primarily based at an elementary school in North Houston
- Additional support at a nearby elementary school
Qualifications:
- Must hold current SLPA licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Prior school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute between schools
- Availability to complete Houston ISD fingerprinting process within the first few days (applicant should cover the $90 fee upfront)
- Familiarity with school environments and flexible scheduling to accommodate school hours
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to elementary students under the scope of SLPA practice
- Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to support student communication goals
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Assist in supporting communication development across two campuses in a timely and organized manner
