School SLPA - Houston, TX
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is designed for professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ communication development under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. As an SLPA, you'll help implement therapy plans, support students’ speech and language goals, and contribute meaningfully to their academic and social success.
Qualifications:

Valid SLPA license or certification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Experience working with K-12 students preferred
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to follow therapy plans and directions from supervising SLP
-
Understanding of speech and language development and communication disorders
-
School-based experience is a plus
Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined by the supervising SLP
-
Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
-
Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities
-
Document student performance and maintain accurate service logs
-
Support the SLP in conducting screenings and informal assessments
-
Collaborate with educators and staff to support student progress

Participate in team meetings as appropriate and communicate effectively with the school team
