Schedule: Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours/week | Onsite
Caseload: K–12 students (specific assignment to be discussed during interview)
License Required: Active Texas SLPA license


Position Overview

BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district in Houston, Texas, for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication development while working within a collaborative educational environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Therapy Services: Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress and assist in preparing reports for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support students' communication goals.

  • Support: Assist in speech and language screenings and assessments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or a related field.

  • Licensure: Valid Texas SLPA license.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
