Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Opportunity in Houston, Texas
Are you an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking a rewarding role? Join our team in Houston, Texas for the upcoming school year!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services in a school environment, supporting students' communication needs.
- Collaborate with licensed SLPs, educators, and parents to optimize therapy outcomes.
- Implement evidence-based interventions, contributing to student progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation to track student development accurately.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid SLPA license or certification in Texas, or eligibility to obtain.
- Completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech and Communication Disorders
- Prior experience in a school setting highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pay starts at $35 per hour, based on previous peds/schools experience, with potential for increased rates
