Blazer Jobs is working with school districts across Texas to hire qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a great opportunity for licensed SLPAs who are passionate about helping students improve their communication skills in an educational setting.
Position Overview
As an SLPA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with speech and language challenges. Your role will involve implementing therapy plans, assisting with assessments, and tracking student progress to help them succeed in both academic and social environments.
Openings are available in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth, El Paso, and surrounding school districts.
Responsibilities

Provide direct speech and language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP

Assist in documenting student progress and preparing therapy materials

Support implementation of IEP goals related to communication

Maintain accurate service logs and follow Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations
-
Collaborate with educators and school staff to ensure consistent support for students

Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of student records
Qualifications
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
-
Active Texas SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Must pass all required Texas background checks and fingerprinting
