                                This position seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 educational setting. The role involves working closely with speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans that enhance students' communication abilities. This contract assignment spans the current school year in Petersburg, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
 - Support students across K-12 grade levels to improve their communication skills.
 - Document and track student progress in alignment with therapy goals.
 - Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and therapists to optimize interventions.
 - Maintain confidential records and comply with all school policies and regulations.
 
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working as an SLPA in school settings.
 - Knowledge of and ability to implement therapy techniques relevant to K-12 students.
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and use clinical judgment.
 - Valid certification or licensure as required by the state.
