Speech Therapy Assistant in Pendleton, OR
A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support a rural K-12 district in Pendleton, OR. The position involves traveling between schools within the district to provide direct assistance and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in implementing therapy plans for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Deliver therapy services under the supervision of virtual SLPs.
- Travel between various school sites within the district to service the student caseload.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and other staff to ensure appropriate service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by Oregon state regulations.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly between multiple school locations within a rural district.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with virtual SLP supervisors.
- Reliable, organized, and adaptable to changing schedules and student needs.
