Speech Therapy Assistant in Hemet, CA
A one-year contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students across multiple sites in Hemet, CA. This role involves working 35 hours per week, providing valuable speech and language support to children from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade until April 24th.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in a K-12 educational setting
- Assist in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
- Collaborate with school staff to implement therapy goals and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Support multiple school sites as required throughout the contract period
Qualifications:
- Degree in Speech & Language Pathology or certification from a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program
- Registration with the Speech Language Pathology & Audiology Board as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children and educational teams
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
