Speech Pathologist Assistant in San Francisco, CA
An exciting opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students within a dynamic school district in San Francisco, CA. This full-time contract position offers a consistent schedule of 32 hours per week, spanning from ASAP through the End of School Year (EOSY) as well as Extended School Year (ESY) services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech Language Pathologists in delivering effective speech and language therapy to students with diverse communication needs
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision, supporting students' progress towards speech and language goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and reinforce therapeutic strategies in the classroom
- Participate in parent meetings and provide clear communication about student performance and needs
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 educational setting; new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with professionals, students, and families
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and creating inclusive environments
