School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Fremont, California
A School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support three K-12 schools in the Fremont, CA area on a contract basis through December. This role serves two elementary schools and one middle school, with a schedule of three days per week at one location and one day per week each at the other two schools. The position is full-time, in-person, and operates approximately from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students
- Support individual and group sessions as per treatment plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Prepare materials and assist in screenings and assessments
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with educational and therapeutic interventions for speech and language disorders
