Contract School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Pittsfield, MA
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time contract opportunity? We are seeking a skilled SLPA to join a supportive school district in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and help students thrive!
Location: Pittsfield, MA Discipline: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Hours: Full-time Caseload: K-12
Job Duties:
As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to:
- Implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) designed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual or small group settings.
- Assist with data collection and documentation of student progress.
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication goals.
- Participate in school meetings as appropriate.
Special Requirements:
- Active professional SLPA license in Massachusetts is required.
- Experience working with diverse K-12 student populations is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $35-$45 based on experience.
