Middle School Elementary Speech Therapy Assistant in White River Junction, VT
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across Early Childhood through High School settings, from kindergarten to 12th grade. This contract position is based in White River Junction, VT, and offers a dynamic educational environment focused on fostering communication skills among diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing individualized student treatment plans.
- Conduct therapy sessions for students at various developmental stages, including Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing valuable feedback to the treatment team.
- Collaborate with educators and family members to support students' communication goals.
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies regarding speech-language pathology services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active state SLPA license is required.
- Experience working in school settings with children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Familiarity with early childhood communication development as well as elementary, middle, and high school educational environments.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to coordinate therapy effectively within a school schedule.
- Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
Position Details:
- Location: White River Junction, Vermont
- Contract position, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year with a strong possibility of renewal.
- Full-time schedule, 35 hours per week, 5 days per week.
- Serving students across K-12 age groups.
