A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in the Baltimore, MD area, serving elementary students from PreK through 5th grade. This role involves supporting speech-language services in two schools within the school district, with a schedule split between Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary. The contract begins mid-February 2026 and extends through late May 2026, with the possibility of extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) session in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in providing speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Implement therapy plans for a diverse caseload in PreK-5th grade settings
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support individualized education plans
- Adhere to district policies, including background checks and credentialing requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLPA
- Compliance with House Bill 486, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history verification
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, with caseload exposure to elementary-aged children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited for working with young students and school staff
Location and Schedule:
- On-site position located in the Baltimore area, MD
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Magnolia Elementary: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Prospect Mill Elementary: 2 days per week (Monday, Wednesday)
