School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | Bel Air, Maryland
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a contract position within a K-12 public school setting located in the Baltimore area. This role primarily supports elementary students from PreK to 5th grade, working across two schools on a weekly rotational schedule. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in educational environments who hold active Maryland professional licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students at Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week)
- Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Document and track student progress accurately and maintain compliance with applicable educational standards
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student communication goals
- Participate in relevant meetings to ensure consistency of care and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology Assistant professional licensure
- Experience working with K-12 student populations, preferably within elementary school settings
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
- Commitment to student-centered care and educational support in speech-language development
Location & Schedule:
- Based onsite in the Baltimore area, serving schools in Harford County Public Schools
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Contract term: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services for four weeks in July 2026
This role requires onsite presence with no options for hybrid or remote work. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to a dynamic educational environment, supporting students’ communication needs daily.
