A school district in Forks Of Salmon, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide vital support to K–12 students in a public school setting during the 2025–2026 school year. This contract position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time schedules available. The SLPA will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver evidence-based therapy focused on enhancing students’ communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and small-group speech therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
- Implement treatment plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication development
- Monitor, document, and report student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related professionals for coordinated service delivery
- Assist with IEP implementation, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to guidelines from both the district and ProCare Therapy
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree completed from an accredited SLPA program
- Active state SLPA license or registration
- Ability to work effectively under direct and indirect supervision of a licensed SLP
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior school-based experience is advantageous but not mandatory
