Speech Pathologist Assistant in Fort Myers, FL
This full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Fort Myers, FL. The position begins on January 1, 2026, and runs through June 1, 2026, covering the second semester of the school year. This is an on-site, contract role requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 50-55 elementary-aged students, providing support for speech and language development under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. The SLPA will contribute to creating and implementing individualized therapy plans, conducting screenings and assessments, documenting student progress, and collaborating with educators and families to promote effective communication skills.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) SLPA license is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while adhering to school policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
