School Speech & Language Pathology Assistant | Crestline, California
Located in Crestline, CA, this position offers an opportunity to provide vital speech and language support to K-12 students in a school setting. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will work directly onsite, collaborating closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality services tailored to the communication needs of students. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) and requires strong commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services in line with individual student IEPs.
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, receiving ongoing supervision.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, especially during high-stress situations.
- Assist students in multiple school settings as needed; travel between buildings may be required.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, or an AAS degree from an SLPA program.
- Active SLPA certification/license.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite exclusively; virtual options are not available.
