This opportunity is for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-5 students within an elementary school setting. Located in Fairhope, AL, this contract position will run from March 2025 through May 22, 2026. The role requires on-site work at a local school within the Mobile County Public Schools district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services to students in grades K through 5 under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Implement individualized therapy plans and monitor student progress.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development.
- Ensure compliance with all district and state speech-language pathology guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Board of Speech Examiners as an SLPA is mandatory.
- Experience working with K-5 students in a school setting preferred.
- Familiarity with educational speech-language intervention techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working on-site full time, 35 hours per week.
