A Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) role is available for onsite placement within school settings in Elk Grove, CA, focusing on supporting school-age students with communication and language services. This travel opportunity involves working across multiple school sites, providing both direct and indirect therapy services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with licensed SLPs and participate in ongoing supervision.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, especially in high-stress or crisis scenarios.
- Travel between school buildings as necessary to meet student needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related field; or an AAS degree from an SLPA program.
- Active SLPA license or certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage responsibilities within a dynamic school environment.
- Commitment to working onsite; virtual assignments are not available.
