A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a school setting located in Fairfield, CA. This contract role will support the virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the remainder of the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance to students under the supervision of an SLP during virtual sessions
- Implement individualized speech therapy plans and activities designed by the SLP
- Document student progress and maintain clear communication with the supervising SLP and school staff
- Assist with scheduling and preparation of virtual therapy materials
- Support students in achieving their speech and language goals in an online learning environment
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure appropriate for school-based services
- Experience working as an SLPA in a school setting preferred
- Ability to effectively assist and engage students through virtual platforms
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable with technology used in virtual therapy sessions
