School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | El Cajon, California

This role offers the opportunity to contribute as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary students in a school setting. The position is based in El Cajon, CA, with responsibilities split between two locations. It is a contract assignment covering the current school year (CSY) with a 35-hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering speech and language support services to students.
- Work onsite alongside an SLPA to provide direct support and intervention.
- Collaborate with educators and therapists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Receive supervision from the district’s designated personnel to ensure compliance with therapy standards.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of one full school year of SLPA experience, preferably in an elementary school setting.
- Valid SLPA credential/license as required by the state.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaborating with staff and families.
Location:
- Two school sites within the El Cajon area, CA.
